In Honor of Richard Wright

The music world lost a true talent today, Richard Wright, keyboardist and founding member of Pink Floyd.

Along with drummer Nick Mason, Wright was usually left on the sidelines when the spotlight was on Syd Barrett, Rogers Waters or David Gilmour. Wright keyboards and vocals added textures to every Pink Floyd album with the exception of the Final Cut.

In addition to Pink Floyd, Wright also release two solo albums and a collaboration with Dave Harris called Zee in 1984 while on hiatus from Floyd. In 2006, Wright toured with David Gilmour performing David's latest solo album, On An Island, as well as many Pink Floyd songs.

Pink Floyd's final concert with the four main members was performed at Live 8 in London on July 2, 2005. It is a sad loss indeed. Shine On!
