Present or No Vote at All?

John McCain's campaign has been making a big deal about Obama voting "present" 129 times while in the Illinois Senate. Yet McCain has missed more votes than any other Senator in the U.S. Senate. He's missed 407 or 63.8% of the votes and has only cast 231 votes. Obama has missed 290 or 45.5% of the votes and cast 348 votes coming in third for missing the most amount of votes in the Senate.

When you consider Obama cast almost 4,000 votes while in the IL Senate and voted "present" only 129 times, compared to McCain missing more votes than he cast, it seems highly hypocritical of his campaign. Throwing stones while living in glass houses is not very wise.
